Project Goal Summary
Growing green minds is about teaching special education students about green spaces and sustainability with hands-on activities to further engage their minds. We sent out to teach the best we can about recycling, up cycling and learning different but simple ways to help the economy.
We believe it can help educate and give students further knowledge of the environment along with helping the environment by teaching more people about it. It brings good into the world by teaching more about sustainability and ways to help the environment in simple but helpful ways.

Project Goals and News
The challenge that the project is designed to address is the challenge of sustainability with recycling. The way that we would impact the challenge is teaching special education classes about the importance of recycling and the way that recycling is recycled. The way that we would measure our progress and success is by having them play a game that we came up with after the presentation to test if the subject that we presented to them would prove useful in the game.
What has been successful is that the students understood the presentation and succeeded well in playing the game that we came up with. Something that has been a bit challenging is setting up days that we would be able to go to the other classrooms.Groups that are involved with my project are Jose Ocampo that is also working on the project, Wilmer that aided us in taking photos while we were playing the game, Mr. kaiser and Ms.Samuels allowing us to present our slides and our environmental activity to their students, and also Mrs. Hamasaki, our teacher for helping us along the way of our project.
