Hello, my name is Steven Nunez, my ECOLeader interests and goals are to receive my NWF Certification by doing a project that we embarked on in our environmental science class. For my project we decided to create birdhouses out of upcycled materials and then post them up around our school, to increase the native bird population in urban areas, and decrease the amount of wood construction waste that ends up in landfills as it is the second leading material behind concrete. This project has taught me many lessons, it has shown me that communication with your team is the most important part of success. We sometimes lacked effective communication in certain aspects which caused our project to be slowed down. All in all this project was very educational for me and my group and we are proud to be part of the ECOLeader community. The creature that represents my spirit animal the most would be a koala, as they are very laid back and very cute animals who are just living life.
