Smithsonian Primer On Biodiversity

After reading the article “Smithsonian Primer On Biodiversity”, I learned that Biodiversity is important for maintaining balance within ecosystems and supporting life on earth. I also discovered that human actions, like population growth and increased resource consumption are the prime threat to biodiversity. Lastly, the article highlights the interconnections of species and ecosystems and how the loss of one species can affect the entire ecological systems and emphasized that if we all collectively work together through conservation efforts that we can protect the Biodiversity for the future generations.
