Native trees and forested ecosystems are more vital than ever. Through our reimbursement program and individualized support, the National Wildlife Federation's Trees for Wildlife program works alongside community partners to get native trees in the ground and educate the public on the importance of planting trees for humans and wildlife. Native Tree Seedling Application

Timeline and deliverables:

  • OPEN APPLICATION PERIOD: November 15 - December 15, 2024
  • Awardees will be announced by late Janurary to early February
  • Awardees will be reimbursed up to $1.00 per native tree seedling purchased
    • Seedlings are purchased locally by awardees
    • NWF does not supply trees to awardees
  • The minimum number of seedlings required to apply is 100
  • Awardees must complete their events and provide post-event documentation by July 31, 2025
    • NWF will communicate next steps regarding documentation when awardees are selected
    • Award funds will not be distributed until all necessary documentation has been provided by awardee

Please have an event location and number of trees determined prior to submitting an application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
