My Eco-Mission:
My interest in environmental sciences and studies is always evolving. Currently, my main interests are related to the circular economy, economics, ecorestoration, toxicology, and conservation. My past education and ongoing learning have piqued my interest in understanding the systems underpinning the environmental issues before us, therefore my interests are not as focused as I want them to be at this point, but maybe more conversations with professional environmentalists of different backgrounds will help me narrow my attention. I've always had an interest in the environment even as a young child. I think this is more inherent than most people realize, but it's not recognized and fostered enough by parents and peers. I was lucky enough to have access to parks, forests, oceans, mountains since California has these ecosystems in abundance and are in close proximity to one another. I want to work in a field that helps to maintain these natural systems either directly or indirectly. By doing so, more people in the present and future will be able to have access to and appreciate the true value of their environment.

Hi Alexi! Thanks for reaching out. Yes, you can absolutely still apply for certification for your previous work - which sounds like it was a great effort. Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding certification.
Hey Courtney! I have a couple questions regarding my eligibility for the NWF eco-leaders campus certification. I served on the associated student government board at my community college as the sustainability commissioner during the 2018-19 academic school year. I worked with admin, staff, student government, and students in implementing our district sustainability plan through a number of projects I could inform you about. The problem is that I have transferred to 4-year institution and have graduated from that university 3 months ago. Am I still eligible for the certification? I stumbled across a YouTube video introducing me to this community and I believe he mentioned that I could still receive my certification and connect with the community even if the sustainability projects were done in the past. If this is their a separate application process for my case?
