My Eco-Mission:
Hello! As a child, my mom read The Lorax to us and it really struck a chord with me. It intrigued me, made me think, inspired me to pay attention to and value nature. It led me to become a counselor at an environmentally-aware summer camp where I was introduced to all kinds of alternative lifestyle choices, from composting toilets to wringer wash machines to a vegetarian diet. It was life-altering for me. I chose to earn a B.A. degree in Environmental Studies, with a focus on Sedimentary Geology. I wanted a well-rounded education (hence the BA) that focused on the interconnectivity of everything. During my early professional career, I was fortunate enough to be able to continue my education by taking evening courses. I chose to pursue a Certificate in Sustainability in order to stay current in the field.
I have a dream to create a Permaculture "community" that provides living and training accommodations for those who "graduate" from foster care. Anyone interested? Please lmk!

My favorite wild place is:
My favorite way to get outdoors is:
backpacking! I love to get away from it all by exploring nature and challenging my mind and body.
On a More Serious Note
I am driven to make a difference in the world because:
I believe that the reason we are "here" is to improve the quality of life, whether it's a smile or a career.
The greatest skill I bring to a team is:
my willingness to listen and learn. Those are things I value because in my experience, they lead to success.
If I could change one thing about my community it would be:
the inequities that burden those of color and/or lower income status. Imagine the good we could do if everyone's basic needs were met!
